Places we manage
We manage areas within our legislative boundaries and also manage a variety of property assets on behalf of other organisations. These cover retail, leisure, heritage, transport, government and commercial sectors and provide ongoing revenue streams to our business.
Circular Quay wharves
We manage the retail tenancies and public domain on the wharves for NSW Maritime Authority. We provide services such as financial administration, management of maintenance and sub contractors and liaise with various stakeholders such as Sydney Ferries.
King Street Wharf promenade
We manage the public promenade area between the wharves and Lime and King streets on behalf of NSW Maritime Authority. Activities include property maintenance, managing minor works on the promenade, landscaping, street furniture and assistance with events.
Luna Park Reserve
The Luna Park site at Milsons Point is one of the most prominent and visually distinctive landmarks on the Sydney Harbour foreshore. It comprises a foreshore boardwalk, entertainment precinct and cliff top. As manager of Luna Park Reserve Trust, Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority is responsible for preserving the park's sense of place, and ensuring its commercial viability and on-going public access to the site and surrounding foreshore.
Blackwattle Bay
Blackwattle Bay is a mixed-use facility comprising maritime commercial facilities, parkland and Sydney Fish Market. Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority prepared the Sydney Fish Market Master Plan 2003-04 in conjunction with the market operator, Sydney Fish Market Pty Ltd, which was approved by the Planning Minister in 2005. Sydney Fish Market Pty Ltd, which operates the market, is currently considering how, and when, to best proceed with any renewal, including the next step of detailed design and development approval. The Authority also manages some foreshore areas at Blackwattle Bay on behalf of NSW Maritime Authority.
Sydney Conservatorium of Music
We place manage the Conservatorium on behalf of NSW Department of Education and Training. Our role encompasses all facilities management functions, financial and asset management, and coordination of the interests of various stakeholders. Located on Macquarie Street in Sydney's CBD, the building comprises 27,000 sq m, including the heritage Greenway building, originally an early 19th century stables, and three levels of accommodation beneath a landscaped roof area overlooking the Royal Botanic Gardens.
