Darling Harbour Berthing Licence


Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority owns and manages the wharves in Cockle Bay and is the lessee of Pyrmont Bay Ferry Wharf. To ensure the safe and efficient use of the area, a commercial vessel operator must be licensed to berth at the wharves.

The wharves at which commercial vessels are permitted to berth are as follows:

  • Convention Wharf (north end)
  • Harbourside South Steps
  • Harbourside North Steps
  • Harbourside Promenade
  • Harbourside Jetty
  • Aquarium Pontoon
  • Pyrmont Bay Ferry Wharf

Please note: Privately-owned vessels are only permitted to berth at the Darling Harbour Marina.

To apply for a commercial berthing licence, please complete the licence agreement and application form and send to:
