This program looks at the achievements of this remarkable woman through the eyes of the poor she helped. Her experiences in The Rocks are brought to life on the archaeological dig site near the location of the first refuge she established for the homeless.
Mary MacKillop's story is integral to the development of Australian society in the late 19th century, particularly in the areas of social justice and education.
