Learn the difference between the work of historians and archaeologists, students examine the archaeological heritage of Sydney's oldest colonial precinct. Students visit a significant dig site and experience a hands-on examination of genuine artefacts from the area.
The Digging Up Sydney program focuses on the archaeological discoveries made in The Rocks and the interpretation of such evidence to construct a picture of pre-contact and colonial life.
