Can you dig it?: The methodology of archaeology

A local archaeological experience, the program includes a multi-media presentation, a hands-on analysis of genuine artefacts and a visit to a significant dig site where students explore the process of undertaking an archaeological excavation.
During the course of the excursion, students will hear anecdotal stories of archaeological digs in The Rocks, and explore methods used by archaeologists and historians to unlock the past. Students will visit the historical 1848 Merchants House for a tactile and analytical experience with artefacts found on various dig sites in The Rocks.
