On this interactive excursion students explore the contributions of Chinese Australians to developing Australian identity and heritage as they wander through Chinatown. In the enchanting Chinese Garden of Friendship students solve riddles, find clues and meet challenges as they journey though the garden to learn the legend of the Chinese horoscope.
Combining a visit to the Chinese Garden of Friendship with a tour of Chinatown, Sydney Learning Adventures offers children the chance to appreciate the impact of multi-culturalism on Australia.
Chinatown is one of the most vibrant and interesting areas Sydney has to offer. Sydney Learning Adventures invites students to explore the area in order to learn how the Chinese community in Australia has developed over time.
To assist you in getting the most out of the program and to maximise the experience for your students, Sydney Learning Adventures has created comprehensive Teacher Resource Packs for each program.
