Leasing and Property Management
Property NSW owns and manages some of the State’s most significant assets including Sydney’s heritage and cultural precincts, The Rocks and Darling Harbour. As Leasing and Property Manager, Property NSW is responsible for 16 head leases, 73 licences and 115 tenancies throughout Darling Harbour (including berthing licences) and 202 leases, 85 licences and 200 market stall holders in The Rocks.
There are limited opportunities to become a part of this world-class heritage precinct. As at 30 April 2016 The Rocks commercial vacancy rate was 2.2% and retail 1.5%.
Property NSW has impressive results in leasing and property management. Vacancy rates, which are reported by industry on a square metre basis, show that The Rocks is significantly outperforming its neighbour the Sydney CBD. As a NSW Government agency, Property NSW also works to ensure the activation and profitability of its precincts for the mutual benefit of tenants, visitors and the taxpayers of NSW.
